I'm interested in French politics, as well... although, unfortunately I'm too far away to participate very heavily in anything. I have a facebook page for my French political efforts. Please check it out!
I also happen to be a member of Debout La Republique, a Gaulist and Republican minded center-right party in France.
A couple of my view on French politics:
- The
European Union is a threat to the national sovereignty of its member
states. Therefore it should not be made into a multinational
supranational government, but rather have its authority curtailed by a
proper modification of the Rome treaty.
- The traditions of Europe, both political and religious must be
maintained and/or restored to preserve the integrity of the continent.
- The Lisbon Treaty must be repealed. All future treaties that advocate a
change regarding national sovereignty must be ratified by the people of
every member nation.
- Someone must keep radicals like Sarkozy in check to make sure the
government doesn’t get totally hosed. That means a decent opposition is
necessary.
- France must regain its place in the world, rather than being
subservient to the interests of any other nation or group of nations.
This could include pulling out of NATO entirely.
- More to come later...
